About Me

One night many sleeps ago, I dreamt no ordinary dream of Heaven. Just a freshman in college then, I believed I needed to share the elements of this life-changing experience with others. I now held a sacred story within me, and I felt compelled to write about it.

Seemingly on the right track, my first professional job involved training as a copy editor for a large publishing firm in NYC. In a few years, I married. My husband’s work necessitated a move to Michigan. I tried high school teaching. No. Then, a master’s degree and university teaching. Better. I directed a pre-primary educational program, which served a purpose while my son was young. However, I did not find my passion in teaching. Increasingly, I discerned a call to return to writing.

All the while, my Christian faith continued to blossom and thoughts of working in para-church ministry began to have some appeal. I served as executive director for an evangelical pro-life pregnancy center. I so joyed in producing the quarterly Life Matters newsletter during my tenure there. The nature of this in-the-trenches ministry work brought with it many more sacred stories to share. My current work in progress, Called to Compassion, is a memoir detailing the surprises God had in store for me during the decade I spent in pro-life pregnancy center work. An enlightening read for anyone serving in ministry or approaching their work with a pre-determined agenda.

A desire to delve more deeply into Christian theology led me to establish a Community Bible Study class in my locale. As I studied and prepared to lead, the elements of my long ago, but not forgotten, dream of Heaven began to come into full view. I gained a much greater understanding of what I had experienced in my dream. I now feel ready to write the memoir, Called to Conversion, an illuminating story of God’s love for his lost.

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. Ephesians 1:18

Toward the end of my dream, my spirit guides informed me that my visit to Heaven was coming to an end. I was so disappointed! I pleaded with them to let me stay there, but they told me the decision had already been made. It was not yet my time. They said that I must return to Earth because my work there was not finished.

So, my journey has continued here…as a ministry leader, Bible study teacher, and writer of my sacred stories…completing the work God has given me to do.
